"A Call to Practice"
No fame, no glory, not proud, not sure
Let my worldly worries be shed in this breath
As I wield the blade that protects life from death
For nothing else matters while I’m swinging my sword
Parrying exhaustion with the will to do more
No one’s foul words shall stifle my cause
No one’s misdeeds will lead me to pause
For I’m beyond all reproach while I’m swinging my sword
Some only glimpse through the curtained door
In the grasp of uncertainty, they ponder on
Some watch for a lifetime, and then they’ll be gone
My legacy, the stains on the grip of my sword
Enjoy your practice!
